Playing Cross-mod

 

Cross-mod is the second puzzle game in Moduli. The goal is to make the sums of the tiles in both the rows and the columns add up to the numbers on the ends. The catch is that each number on the end is governed by a golden modulus that modifies the sum; every time the sum reaches the golden modulus, it starts over at zero and then continues counting up so that the sum is always less than the golden modulus. If the sum doesn't match the end number, then there will be an "X" on the number. Dragging a tile to a different tile will make the tiles swap locations.

 

(Example of golden modulus 3 counting: "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10" becomes "1, 2, 0, 1, 2, 0, 1, 2, 0, 1".)

Things Can Get Difficult

 

The puzzles start out easy, but don't let that fool you! The difficulty of the puzzles increases rapidly from episode to episode and chapter to chapter.
