**What is Moduli? **Moduli is a number puzzle game
consisting of two types of number puzzles: modTiles and Cross-mod. The
central feature connecting both puzzles is the commanding role of golden
moduli numbers in determining the behavior of the puzzles.

**What are golden moduli?** Each puzzle in Moduli
contains one or more gold colored numbers which are called golden
moduli. These golden moduli determine how counting works within the
puzzle. When counting reaches the golden modulus, it instead starts over
at zero and continues from there. For example, counting "1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
6, 7, 8, 9, 10" with a golden modulus of 5 would instead be "1, 2, 3,
4, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 0".

**What is modTiles?** The main puzzle type in Moduli is
the modTiles puzzle game. The goal is to clear (set to zero) all of the
tiles at the same time. When a tile is tapped, that tile and all
adjacent tiles increase by one subject to their golden moduli. This
puzzle is a bit like a numerical Rubik's Cube with regard to the way
that making one small change causes changes to ripple through the whole
puzzle.

**What is Cross-mod?** Cross-mod is the second puzzle
type in Moduli. The positions of tiles in the puzzle are swapped with
each other until the sums of the rows and columns are equal to the
numbers on the ends subject to their golden moduli. It is somewhat
similar to Sudoku in that each square must meet multiple shared
requirements at the same time.

**Is the game difficult?** Yes, the game gets difficult
very quickly. Here are some quotes from early playtesters: "This game is
too hard." "Are there any more easy puzzles like the first one?" Moduli
is the game for you if you like challenging puzzles.
